PTI strongly condemns twin blasts in Balochistan, express grief over loss of precious lives

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) strongly condemned twin terrorist attacks in Balochistan and demanded an independent investigation into the tragic incidents so as to bring the elements responsible for the heinous crime to justice.
PTI Spokesperson expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the blasts and prayed for the speedy and complete recovery of the injured, besides demanding provision of all medical facilities to ensure their treatment.
He alarmed that the incidents of terrorism in two areas of the largest province of the country one after another just a day before general elections were very concerning and worrisome.
PTI Spokesperson said that the evil elements were hell-bent in create a chaotic atmosphere by targeting the candidates participating in the elections.
He went on to say that the alarming upsurge in terrorist incidents in Balochistan before the general elections spoke volumes of incompetence of the caretaker governments in maintaining law and order situation in the country.
PTI Spokesperson asked that the federal and provincial caretaker governments should explain as to why security arrangements were not being made for the candidates and political parties despite the security high alert in the province.
He urged that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the state institutions responsible for maintaining law and order should take immediate notice of the terrorist incidents and ensure foolproof safety and security arrangements for the citizens on the election day so as they could cast their votes in peaceful manner.
PTI Spokesperson demanded that the terrorist incidents should be investigated thoroughly and the criminal negligence of the caretaker governments should also be probed so as to bring the real culprits to book.
He said that it was the constitutional responsibility of the caretaker government and the electoral watchdog to ensure conduct of elections in a peaceful and transparent environment by providing full security to the candidates as well as the voters.
