PTI nominates Sheikh Rasheed as PM candidate
ISLAMABAD, JUL (DNA) – After the extensive meeting of senior leadership, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to nominate Sheikh Rasheed as the candidate for next prime minister of Pakistan.
At first, it was presumed that PIT will support the PM candidate from opposition, but now the senior leadership has made it clear that they will support Sheikh Rasheed as PM candidate in National Assembly voting. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has already declared that former state minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will be appointed as next PM for an interim period of 45 days while Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif will then take over the premiership.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan said they will file a reference against Shehbaz Sharif as his name is in Hudaibiya Paper Mills case. He claimed Capital FZE in Dubai was formed for money laundering by the Sharif family. “PML-N will cause itself damage by appointing Shehbaz Sharif as PM,” he stated.
He further claimed that ex-interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan knew that the letter from Qatari Prince is false which is why he had rift with PML-N leaders. Is no one else eligible for the position of PM in whole PML-N, he asked.
