PTI gives ticket to Seemi Ezdi for Senate seat in Punjab
ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Seemi Ezdi, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen, on Wednesday has been given ticket for Senate seat in Punjab after the approval of party chief and Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.
At least 11 PTI women including Firdous Ashiq Awan, Nargis Jabeen, Nida Rehman, Rukhsana Bhatti, Sima Anwaar, Asma Badar, Noreen Farooqui, Irum Bukhari, Dr Zarqa and Sara Ahmed had submitted applications to contest the Senate election from Punjab.
However, the party found Seemi Ezdi suitable for the ticket to contest the poll on November 15.
It is to be mentioned here that the seat fell vacant after the disqualification of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) member Sadia Abbasi.
