Prime Minister Imran Khan welcomes Saudi crown at the airport
RAWALPINDI, (DNA) – Amid heightened security, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman reached Islamabad Sunday evening on a two-day official visit.
The crown prince is accompanied by a high-powered delegation comprising members of the Royal family, cabinet ministers and leading Saudi businessmen.
At the Noor Khan airbase, Prince Muhammad was received by Prime Minister Imran Khan, the three services chiefs and the federal cabinet.
The Royal guest was accorded a red-carpet welcome with 21-gun salute.
The prime minister drove the crown prince to the Prime Minister House where an official welcome ceremony was arranged.
At the official welcome ceremony, national anthems of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan were played and the crown prince reviewed the guard of honor.
This is Prince Mohammad’s first state visit to Pakistan since becoming the heir to the throne in 2017.
Earlier, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir landed at Nur Khan Air Base in a separate airplane.
Besides the PM, Mohammad bin Salman will meet army chief General Qamar Bajwa and President Arif Alvi.
