President Mamnoon for further cementing Pak- Switzerland ties
ISLAMABAD, SEPT 20 (DNA) – President Mamnoon Hussain has said that emphasis should be laid on increasing the bilateral trade between Pakistan and Switzerland and attracting Swiss investment in Pakistan.
The President said this while talking to the Ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Switzerland Ahmad Naseem Warraich who called on him at the Aiwan e Sadr on Wednesday.
The President emphasized that there should be regular exchange of trade, cultural and educational delegations between Pakistan and Switzerland.
He stated that focus should be paid on acquiring Swiss scholarships for Pakistani students so that they can have better opportunities for higher education.
The President underlined that Swiss investment in the agricultural sector will be encouraged as there are ample and attractive opportunities for investment in the country.
He directed that efforts should be made to enhance cooperation between Red Cross and Red Crescent to promote welfare activities.
The President underscored that it should be impressed upon the international community that Pakistan has been the worst victim of terrorism and it has largely overcome this menace.=DNA
