President calls for strengthening communication infrastructure
ISLAMABAD, MAR 14 (DNA) – President Dr. Arif Alvi has stressed for further strengthening transport and communication infrastructure in the ECO region to facilitate trade and investment.
He expressed these views during a meeting with Secretary General of Economic Cooperation Organization, Hadi Soleimanpour in Islamabad on Thursday.
President Arif Alvi said this region has the potential and capacity to function as a bridge between North and South as well as Europe and Asia.
He said Pakistan is upgrading its rail and road infrastructure to facilitate smooth flow of goods to its neighbours and to promote trade opportunities within the region.=DNA
