President calls for enhancing capacity of DRM institutes

ISLAMABAD, 28 APR (DNA) – President calls for enhancing capacity of disaster management institutions Mamnoon Hussain lauds services rendered by personnel of Pak Army particularly its medical corps in times of emergencies.
President Mamnoon Hussain has underlined the need for capacity building of disaster management institutions in order to better cope with calamities. He was addressing Surgeon General’s International conference in Rawalpindi on Thursday.
He said the National Disaster Management Authority and other relevant institutions have demonstrated the ability and capability to deal with the natural disasters in the past. However, there needs to further enhance their capacity through training programs.
The President appreciated the services rendered by the personnel of Pakistan Army particularly its medical corps in the times of emergencies. DNA
