President Alvi to visit Japan on OCT 20 to attend enthronement ceremony

ISLAMABAD, OCT 19 (DNA) – On the invitation of Government of Japan, President Arif Alvi will depart for official visit of Japan on 20 Oct.
The President will attend the enthronement ceremony of His Majesty Emperor Naruhito.
The ceremony is expected to be attended by a large number of Heads of State/Government.
During the visit, the President will meet the Japanese political leadership.
He will interact with representatives of important Japanese companies having investment in Pakistan.

Pakistan and Japan are long-standing friends and partners.
Japan is among the major foreign investors in Pakistan and a significant export destination for Pakistani products.

Pakistan-Japan cooperative ties have been on an upward trajectory, with a huge potential for further collaboration in myriad fields such as economic, trade, commercial, investment,IT, agriculture, human resource development and tourism.

Japan has made important contributions in supporting Pakistan’s socio-economic development efforts over the years.
The visit by the President will further cement the friendly relations between with Japan.
And also President Alvi’s visit will help strengthen bilateral cooperation in diverse areas.

Prime Minister Abe, in his twitter message, yesterday said “President Dr Alvi, thank you for your kindness in expressing sympathy to those who were affected by the typhoon in Japan.
We will always remember the solidarity shown by the Pakistani people.
We will do our best to recover from the damages caused by the disaster.”
Earlier President Arif Alvi in his message had said that the Pakistani nation stands by the friendly people of Japan and wished the injured speedy recovery.=DNA
