: ISLAMABAD (DNA) – PML N has supported Raza Rabbani as Senate chairman. Nawaz Sharif in his meeting with the allies on Wednesday announced this decision.

He announced that PML N may not have any problems if Raza Rabbani was made chairman Senate. Maulana Fazl ur Rehman has also supported the decision.

However PPP may not this time support Raza Rabbani for Senate chairmanship. PPP may consider Salim Mandviwala for Senate chairmanship.

Sources say PML N also knew that Asif Zardari this time will not support Raza Rabbani therefore they have played a political card by supporting Raza Rabbani.
