PML-N intra-party elections today
ISLAMABAD, OCT 03 (DNA) – The intra-party election of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will be held today.
Earlier on Monday, the PML-N’s party election commission meeting was held which was presided over by chairman election commission Senator Chaudhry Jafar Iqbal.
Begum Najma Hameed, Babu Sarfaraz Jatoi, Ali Afzal Jadoon and Amir Afzal Mandokhel also attended the meeting. The meeting appointed Amir Afzal Mandokhel as returning officer and Raja Niazi as secretary election commission.
It was decided during the meeting that nomination papers for the post of PML-N president will be received from 7:00am to 9:00am today (Tuesday). The scrutiny of the nomination papers will be carried out from 9:00am to 10:00am and the election for the new president will be held at 10:30am.
