PML-N holds party meeting after Nawaz’s go-ahead for Azadi March
LAHORE (DNA News) – Amidst preparation for carrying out an anti-government agitation named as ‘Azadi March’ by the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Saturday is holding a special meeting of senior politicians for consultation to possibly join the march after being given ‘go-ahead’ by the party’s supremo, Nawaz Sharif – who has been imprisoned and facing trials in corruption cases.
Reportedly, the party leaders including Ahsan Iqbal, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Rana Tanveer, Shah Muhammad Shah, Barjees Tahir, Rana Mashhood, Hanif Abbasi, Ameer Muqam, Pervez Malik, Abdul Qadir Baloch have gathered in Lahore’s Model Town.
The younger Sharif is chairing today’s session to deliberate on party’s strategy in the light of Nawaz Sharif’s letter regarding the sit-in protest. The opposition leader will apprise party leaders of the details mentioned in the letter by their supreme leader.
According to sources, former premier Nawaz Sharif has stressed in his correspondence to completely support JUI-F Fazal-ur-Rehman’s Azadi March and participate in the sit-in.
Let it be known that Maulana Fazlur Rehman has decided to lead the long march from Sukkur on October 27 and reach the capital city by October 31. The campaign will begin from Sindh.
