PM will resign before JIT probe begins, Ch Shujaat claims

LAHORE, APR 23, (DNA) – President of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has claimed on Sunday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would resign before Joint Investigation Team starts Panama Leaks probe.
A four-party conference was chaired by Chaudhry Shujaat in Lahore during which he asserted that the premier would tender his resignation before JIT begins its probe.
PML-Q, Pakistan Awami Tehreek, Sunni Ittehad Council and Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen participated in the meeting and reiterated their demands off the Prime Minister to resign over Panama Leaks. The participants also demanded the JIT to public its report within 15 days.
The meeting approved formation of a grand alliance and established a committee to make contacts with other lawmakers over the issue.
On the occasion, former chief minister of Punjab, Pervez Elahi said that supporters of the government celebrated and distributed sweets without having read and understood the verdict of the top court. He said that there should be an alliance against the government and corruption.

Senator Sirajul Haq said that the premier should not hold premiership after apex court’s verdict in Panama Leaks case.
The leadership of the four-party grand alliance would convene a meeting in Mansoora on Monday to further the agenda.=DNA
