PM takes notice of increasing inflation
ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday while taking strict notice of increasing inflation directed to launch a special campaign to stop hoarding and other malpractices.
PM Khan ordered immediate action on the situation by issuing directives to the provincial chief secretaries to take immediate action over the conundrum.
He directed the concerned authorities to take immediate steps to stop hoarding and other malpractice.
The prime minister said that providing relief to the masses is the basic responsibility of the field officers, adding that strategy should be devised to control prices and effective implementation of the strategy.
Imran Khan went on to say that strict action should be taken against the violators according to the law.
Directing the field officers to visit wholesale market during auctions to set reasonable prices, the premier said that strict action should be taken against hoarders.
He also directed the provincial officers to submit a report within seven days after implementing the orders.
