PM Nawaz reviews security situation, Punjab operation

ISLAMABAD, 04 APR (DNA) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday chaired a high-level meeting in Islamabad to review security situation in the wake of Lahore bombing.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, DG ISI Rizwan Akhtar and others attended the meeting.
According to reports, DG ISPR Lt-Gen Asim Bajwa briefed the participants about the intelligence-based operations launched in Punjab immediately after March 27 terrorist attack on Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park in Lahore, resulting in death of 76 people mostly children and women.
Reports add that national military and civil leadership agreed to continue IBOs across the country to root out the menace of terrorism. DNA
