PM Nawaz returns after three-day official visit to Maldives
ISLAMABAD, JUL 27 (DNA) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Thursday has returned to Pakistan after a three-day official visit to Maldives. President Abdullah Yameen bade farewell to the premier at Male International airport.
During the visit, PM Nawaz held wide-ranging talks with the President of Maldives for boosting bilateral relations in diverse fields and attended Independence Day celebrations of the friendly country as chief guest.
The two leaders also agreed to enhance trade relations between the two countries.
A joint communique issued at the conclusion of three day official visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Male, says both the sides agreed to further promote bilateral cooperation through the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation.
President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Gayoom reiterated his country’s support for holding of SAARC Summit in Islamabad.
