PM Nawaz receives Dawn leaks report, confirms PM spokesman
ISLAMABAD, APR 26, (DNA) – The Prime Minister’s spokesperson Musaddik Malik, has on Wednesday confirmed that PM Nawaz Sharif has received the Dawn leaks inquiry report.
As per details, PM s spokesperson let it be known that since the report has been received, a decision will be made based upon its recommendations.
Musadik Malik, however didn’t confirm as to when exactly had the report been received.
While responding to a question regarding the contents of the report being made public, he let it be known that a decision would soon be made in this regard.
Earlier, the Federal minister for Finance Ishaq Dar let it be known that the government is considering the replacement of Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi instead of sacking him from the post in Dawn leaks case.
The finance minister, who is currently in the United States, revealed that the recommendations of the Dawn leaks investigation report would be implemented.
He went on to say that the committee didn’t suggest the removal o PM’s Special Assistant, however, his replacement will be an administrative decision.
