Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui expressed his views in the National Assembly after PM Imran Khan received vote of confidence from 178 parliamentarians. The MQM-P leader congratulated the premier over gaining the confidence of the House.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said, “The allies are supporting the government in this tough time and their opinion must be sought at the time of decision making. We are here to give confidence to the nation.”
It is pertinent here to mention that Imran Khan received vote of confidence from the National Assembly during a special session of the Lower House of the Parliament as 178 members of ruling coalition reposed confidence in him.
NA Speaker Asad Qaiser chaired the session in which Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi tabled a resolution expressing confidence in the prime minister. Meanwhile, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) – the opposition alliance – boycotted the session. = DNA
