PM Imran, DG ISPR congratulate Pakistan team on victory against England

ISLAMABAD (DNA News) – Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor congratulated Pakistan team on their victory against England in the ICC Cricket World Cup.The premier took to Twitter and wrote, “Congratulations to the Pakistan cricket team for a great win and for coming back into form after a poor start in the warm up matches and the first WC match. You have the talent, all you need is the self belief that you can go all the way.”It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan shocked England by 14 runs at Trent Bridge on Monday as they ended a long losing streak in one-day internationals despite two centuries for the World Cup host nation.
Pakistan had set a mammoth target of 349 runs for the hosts after being sent into bat by Eoin Morgan. Mohammad Hafeez (84) led a vastly improved Pakistan batting effort that saw Babar Azam (63) and Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed (55) also making fifties.England were then restricted to 334 runs by the Pakistan bowlers. Joe Root (107) and Jos Buttler (103) put on 130 for the fifth wicket but both were out shortly after reaching their hundreds and the tail had too much to do.
