PM Imran appoints nine parliamentary secretaries in NA
ISLAMABAD, AUG 27 (DNA) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has appointed nine more lawmakers from the National Assembly as parliamentary secretaries. With these new appointments tally of parliamentary secretaries has reached 34.
“The Prime Minister has been pleased to appoint the following members of National Assembly as Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry/Division with immediate and until further orders,” said an official notification issued.
Parliamentary secretaries are members of the lower house from the governing party, appointed by the prime minister to assist cabinet ministers, advisers and special assistants. Parliamentary secretaries are answerable to parliament in absence of ministers.
Saleh, MNA from NA-13 has been given charge of parliamentary secretary for water resources. Prince Nawaz has been appointed parliamentary secretary for the Ministry of Science and Technology, Muhammad Bashir Khan as secretary for privatisation, Sahabzada Sabghatullah for postal services, Khyal Zaman Petroleum Division, Muhammad Yakoob Shaikh Economic Affairs Division, Malik Nawar Taj for Ministry of Industry and Production, Nasir Khan Musazai for Establishment Division and Saleem Rehman for Parliamentary Affairs.=DNA
