PM directs to mobilize all resources to ensure safety of citizens
ISLAMABAD, 10 APR, (DNA) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed all federal, civil, military and provincial rescue and relief agencies to mobilise all resources to ensure safety of citizens in the wake of earthquake this afternoon.
He directed all the agencies to move out with their resources to find out the affected people and ensure immediate rescue activities and assistance wherever required.
The Prime Minister further directed the relevant quarters to keep him updated on the developing situation.
“All agencies have been directed to move out with their resources to find out the affected people and ensure immediate rescue activities and assistance wherever required,” the statement issued by PM Office said.
National Disaster Management Authority has asked the people to be cautious in wake of likely aftershocks.
NDMA and Provincial Disaster Management Authorities are collecting information regarding any possible losses.
The NDMA has also sought reports from National Highway Authority and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority.
It has also directed the administration of the districts to send information about any loss of life or property at the earliest. =DNA
