ISLAMABAD, APR 05 (DNA)  The Prime Minister had announced tax amnesty shceme for the tax evaders and offered them lucrative package to bring them into tax net.

Those who have black money in Pakistan can whiten their money by paying a penalty of five percent of the total money they have.
While on overseas assets they have to pay two per cent penalty and whiten the money .
The PM also announced to lower the tax rate and form people earning one hundred thousand per month will not pay any tax.

The scheme will remain open till 31 June 2018.

Sources say PM meeting with Chief Justice of Pakistan recently also deliberated on this issue and sources claim the Judiciary may also be on board on this issue.

Politicians have not been included in this scheme which means they will not be able to benefit from this scheme and will face cases in courts for tax evasion, money laundering etc.
