PM meets International Trade Center’s Executive Director in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD, FEB 02, (DNA) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Thursday has met Executive Director of Geneva based International Trade Center Arancha Gonzalez in Islamabad.
Talking to Arancha Gonzalez, PM said Pakistan is on its way to achieve further higher growth trajectory in the coming months.
He said Pakistan is looking forward to enhanced interaction with international organizations in order to adopt and implement best international practices for increasing the country’s share in international trade.
He said the government is fully committed to empowerment of women at the broadest level and enhancing their participation in international trade.
Nawaz Sharif said his government is currently devising a national e-commerce policy for which the federal Ministers of Finance, Commerce and IT are jointly working.
Arancha Gonzalez said Pakistan has made enormous progress on stabilizing the macro economic situation of the country and in improving the infrastructure and the security.
She said all these are essential ingredients to ensure that the growth in trade and business translate into benefits for the ordinary people.=DNA
