Plunderers of national wealth desperately seeking NRO, says Imran

WASHINGTON (DNA) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday said that plunderers of national wealth are desperately seeking NRO, adding that despite the messages even from the outside, he will not let accountability go.

Addressing a big gathering of the Pakistani diaspora at the Capital One Arena in Washington, Imran Khan said that the previous rulers would have to return the looted money if they wanted to get rid of jail or go abroad.

Deliberating the contours of his Naya Pakistan based on the principles of State of Madina, Imran Khan said it would ensure meritocracy, accountability for the influential and unformed curriculum to end the apartheid education system.

“We have started seizing their undeclared properties; the billions they have taken overseas, we are in talks with other governments to bring that looted wealth back to Pakistan,” PM Imran said

This is the time that Pakistan will change. We have to bring the system of meritocracy to Pakistan. I myself have spent a big chunk of my life as an overseas Pakistan. Because there is no merit in Pakistan, because there is no system that lets an average person compete on a level playing ground, our people have been left behind, he said.

PM Imran said that Pakistan that country which will transform every year. You will see it rising by the year. You have to understand two things today; why did democracy flourish in the world and kingdoms decline.

These two reasons are crucial to understand why we were left so far behind from the world. Democracy has merit, kingdoms and monarchies have none; they have nepotism and dynasties, he said.

He said that nations that have gone ahead in world are those that have gone ahead on basis of meritocracy. In dynasties, the son of a King may not necessarily be a good leader. In democracies like the US, it is the system of merit that lets their people choose their leaders.

He reiterated his resolve to uplift Pakistan by bringing a clean government and ending corruption through a merit-based system where the leaders would be accountable for their deeds.

Going tough on the opposition leaders, he announced to withdraw the A-class jail facilities from Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari and jail them along with the ordinary prisoners.

The prime minister also announced to reform the Pakistani cricket team and assured the community that in the next World Cup, they would see an efficient and capable team in the field.

Deliberating the contours of his Naya Pakistan based on the principles of State of Madina, Imran Khan said it would ensure meritocracy, accountability for the influential and unformed curriculum to end the apartheid education system.

He said the government would reform all the loss-making entities it had inherited including the PIA, Pakistan Railways, power and gas sectors.

PM Imran said that 23 years ago I came into politics, I said one thing and on that same note I‘ll end address. I said that I have never bowed my head in front of everyone to date except for Allah, I‘ll InshAllah never let my nation bow their head in front of anyone.
