Parliament stands weak today: Senate chairman
QUETTA, AUG 02 (DNA) – Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani has said on Wednesday that there should not be any confrontation among state institutions and that the parliament stands quite weak.
Rabbani addressed a seminar in Balochistan capital today and in his speech he said that all political parties need to walk side by side in order to make Pakistan a developed and stable state.
The ceremony was organised in connection with efforts for peace and stability taken since August 8, 2016 tragedy. Last year in August, over 70 lawyers were killed and scores wounded in a suicide blast that targeted civil hospital.
The speakers at the ceremony remembered the lawyers who lost their lives in the attack including Advocate Baz Muhammad Kakar.
While addressing the participants, Senator Rabbani held the attack on lawyers and communities across the country a challenge for the state.He further said that the parliament stands really weak today as anyone could launch a tirade and attack against it. He called for religious implementation of the 1973 constitution for the country to progress.
