Palestinian ambassador fetes newly-arrived ambassadors
ISLAMABAD, APR 09 (DNA) – Walid Abu Ali Ambassador of Palestine hosted a dinner to welcome the newly-arrived ambassadors of Afghanistan and Indonesia and to bid farewell to the outgoing head of OCHA.
Walid Abu Ali while speaking on the occasion lauded the outgoing country head of OCHA which he rendered during his tenure in Pakistan. The Palestine ambassador wished him best of luck in his future endeavours.
Likewise while welcoming the new ambassadors of Afghanistan and Indonesia Walid Abu Ali assured them of his fullest support during their stay in Pakistan.
He particularly talked about bilateral relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan and hoped the new ambassador will put in his best efforts to promote relations between the two neighboring countries.
The Indonesian ambassador who has stepped into the shoes of his predecessor Burhan Mohammad who was killed in deadly Naltar helicopter crash last year, thanked the host for arranging a welcome dinner for him and his colleagues.
The new Dean of Diplomatic Corps Bakhitbek Shabarbayev in his brief speech welcomed his new colleagues and assured them of his full cooperation as Dean. Ambassador of Kazakhstan has taken over as new Dean of Diplomatic Corps after departure of Rodolfo Martin Saravia. =DNA
