Palestine rejects Israeli plan to move US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem
WAFA, DEC 05 (DNA) – President Mahmoud received a phone call from the US president Trump who briefed President Abbas on his intent to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
President Abbas warned against the grave consequences of such a move on the peace process, stability and security in the region and the world at large.
In this regard, we reaffirm that our fixed and solid position is that there will be no Palestinian state without East Jerusalem as its capital in accordance with the international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace initiative.
In this context, the president is continuing contacts with world leaders to prevent taking such a rejected move.
