Palestine envoy grieved over Amjad Islam death

ISLAMABAD: The Ambassador of Palestine Ahmed Rabei has expressed sorrow and grief over the sad demise of great Pakistani writer Amjad Islam Amjad, a great friend of Palestine and defender of humanity and justice, who wrote and translated Palestinian poems and wrote about injustice and occupation of Palestine.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Pakistan, the brotherly Pakistani people, and the family of the deceased.
May God have mercy on the writer, and poet Amjad, and may he rest in peace. We pray for peace of his great soul.
