Pakistan’s envoy Raja Ali Ejaz presents credentials to Saudi king
ISLAMABAD: MAR 17 (DNA) – Pakistan’s newly-appointed ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Raja Ali Ejaz on Sunday presented his credentials to King Salman bin Abdul Aziz in a ceremony held at Al -Yamamah Palace in Riyadh.
The Custodian of two Holy Mosques welcomed the ambassador to the Kingdom. He wished him success and hoped that he will play a leading role to further enhance the relations between the Kingdom and Pakistan, said a statement issued by the Pakistan Embassy in the Saudi capital.
The Saudi king also conveyed his best wishes to the leaders of Pakistan.
Ambassador Ejaz conveyed the greetings of the Pakistani leadership to the king. Highlighting Pakistan’s close ties with the kingdom, and the recent successful visit of Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman to Pakistan, he assured him of Pakistan’s continued support.
Ejaz was nominated as the new ambassador to the KSA by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in October, 2018. The government of Prime Minister Imran Khan, in a major diplomatic reshuffle, had decided to remove all the political appointees approved by the previous government in key diplomatic missions including Saudi Arabia, the United States and the United Kingdom.
