Pakistani film/ TV work receive favorable reviews from Chinese audiences
From Parwaaz Hai Junoon, a patriotic film screened in China this November, to Churails, a popular web series hit the internet, the peculiar enchantment of latest Pakistani works on different subjects refreshed Chinese people’s impression of the country’s cultural creation.
According to the report, by Dec. 18, Churails has scored as high as 9.2 based on 1,691 user ratings on Douban, China’s most popular and authoritative website of movie ratings and reviews.
Putting aside the content arousing controversy in the country, the drama has drawn Chinese netizens by the fascinating twists in the storyline, characteristic Pakistani-style pictures, and beautiful exotic music, etc.
On Douban, Chinese audiences generously expressed their affection for the TV series. “This is the first time I have watched a Pakistani TV series. Brilliant and high-quality,” praised by Jiaoshenmemingzine.
