Pakistan ready to respond to Indian adventurism, says PAF chief

KARACHI ,NOV 24, (DNA) – Chief of Air Staff Sohail Aman on Thursday said that Pakistan is ready to respond to any adventurism by India,

He was speaking to media after visiting International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2016 in Karachi on Thursday.

The air chief said that Pakistan knows how to handle India and its soldiers are prepared to respond to the Indian aggression.

Aman added that it will be ideal for the neighbouring country to take the road of dialogue for resolving the Kashmir issue.

“The Kashmir issue should be resolved on the basis of principles,” he added.

He termed Operation Zarb-e-Azb as a “complete war” against terrorism and said that no one should doubt the country’s defence capabilities.

The PAF chief also stated that Pakistan has signed a deal with Turkey for providing Mushshak jets to the country.

Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Director General (DG) ISI Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar,

Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi and National Security Adviser Lieutenant General (retired) Nasser Khan Janjua briefed him on the situation along the line of control (LoC) particularly after India’s ceasefire violations in Dhudnial sector on November 23.

The meeting condemned the attack on a bus and reiterated to support the cause of Kashmir on political, diplomatic and moral grounds.

PM Nawaz and the participants of the meeting also paid rich tributes to the Pakistani soldiers who sacrificed their lives during skirmishes with Indian forces on Wednesday.
