Pakistan PM holds meeting with Turkeministan President
ISLAMABAD, FEB 22 (DNA) – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi held a meeting with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at Mary in Turkmenistan on Thursday.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi arrived in Mary to attend inaugural ceremony of Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India gas pipeline project.
At the airport, Deputy Chairman of Turkmen Cabinet received the Prime Minister and his delegation.
Turkmenistan has completed construction of gas pipeline in its section under TAPI project, following which a groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled to be performed at the Turkmen border city of Serhetabat tomorrow to take the pipeline to Afghanistan.
The grand inaugural ceremony would be preceded by a Steering Committee meeting of the project’s participating countries-Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India at Mary City in Turkmenistan.
