Pakistan lose to Japan in Tri-nation hockey final
LAHORE, FEB 21 (DNA) – Japan won the Tri-nation hockey tournament after beating Pakistan by 3-2 in an action-packed encounter at Muscat’s Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex (SQSC) on Tuesday.
Koji Yamasaki (4′ off PC), Kazuma Murata (12′) and Hirotaka Wikuri (50′) scored for Japan while Arslan Qadir (14′) and Mubashar Ali (56′ off PC) managed to goals for Pakistan. Team Pakistan previously won 2-1 against Japan during poll matches.
Pakistan have completed their four matches in the double league format, earning eight points to lead the table and are followed by Japan having four points while Oman is on third with a single point.
