Pakistan embassy arranges cultural activities in Borisov City
BORISOV, AUG 23 /DNA/ – The Embassy held a cultural event at the Central library of Borisov in collaboration with the Library and the Centre for Children and Youth Creativity in Borisov district on 19 August 2021. Deputy Head of Mission Abdullah Amin represented the Embassy.
The program included a documentary about widely known Pakistani calligrapher Sadequian. On the occasion, a poetic recital (in Belarusian) of a Ghazal by Pakistani poetess Fehmida Riaz, was delivered by the Belarusian translator Svetlana Bykova. A Belarusian violinist, Nina Pruzhanovskaya, enchanted the participants with a rousing performance on the Pakistani composition “Sanu ek pal chain naan aawe”.
Following this, the audience was introduced with the genesis and evolution of Pakistani truck art. Artists, Iqbal Khan and Tariq Khan also had a truck art master class for the local enthusiasts.
