Pakistan, China to sign MoU to promote literary relations
ISLAMABAD, AUG 31 (DNA) – Pakistan and China will sign formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote literary relations between two countries.
The development took place during a meeting between Mr. Zhang Heqing the cultural Counselor of Chinese Embassy in Pakistan and Chairman Pakistan Academy of Letters Dr. Yusuf Khushk in Islamabad on Sunday.
The meeting discussed promotion of literature and cooperation between two friendly neighboring countries possess rich cultural heritage and powerful literary traditions.
The Chinese cultural Counsellor Zhang Hewing appreciated role of Pakistan Academy of letters in extending cultural and literary ties with China.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Pakistan Academy of Letters Prof. Dr. Yousuf Khushk said cultural and literally relations between two countries will be enhanced through writer to writer contact and intellectual exchanges through translations and other literary events. =DNA
