Pakistan to lock horns with West Indies in first T20 tonight
BRIDGETOWN, MAR 26, (DNA) – Pakistan will clash with Twenty20 (T20) world champions West Indies in their first T20 match tonight.
As per details, the match will be played at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown at 09:30 PM (PST).
Green shirts, led by Sarfraz Ahmed, practiced hard before their first encounter and paid special attention to physical fitness. Both head coach Mickey Arthur and bowling coach Azhar Mahmood seemed active with players in training sessions and gave useful tips to the cricketers.
Carlos Brathwaite is leading the West Indian team which also have big names like Kieron Pollard and Sunil Narine.
Pakistan and West Indies have faced each other seven times in their T20 history in which Pakistan emerged victorious five times and West Indies triumphed twice.
It is pertinent here to mention that green shirts whitewashed the Windies by 3-0 in their previous bilateral series in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The contest seems equally poised as Pakistan have the confidence owing to their previous success against the world champions, and West Indies have the home advantage.
