Not possible to defeat Pakistan Army, says ex-Indian army officer
NEW DELHI, MAR 25, (DNA) – Indian authors Pravin Sawhney and Ghazala Wahab, in their new book titled as “Dragon On Our Doorstep: Managing China Through Military Power”, have made it vehemently clear that India does not possess capabilities to defeat Pakistan in direct military combat.
Sawhney and Wahab, earlier an Armyman-turned-journalist and later a career journalist, state in book that Pakistan is China and China is Pakistan, pointing out especially the inter-operability that forces of both regional giants have achieved through decades of deep ties.
Authors urge Indian political leadership to indulge military persons while making key decisions pertaining to national security.
Another provocative take is that the Indian Army is a bloated force and has to shed flab, by reducing the number of personnel at its disposal. They call for a review of both field force and non-field force in the Army in order to move towards professionalism.=DNA
