Pakistan Day: President, PM urge nation to forge unity
ISLAMABAD, MAR 23, (DNA) – President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has urged the nation to uphold the principles that inspired the Muslims of subcontinent to forge unity and create a separate country.
In his separate message on the auspicious occasion of Pakistan Day, President Mamnoon Hussain said it is indeed a matter of satisfaction that the nation is striving to address various challenges under a democratic dispensation.
The Prime Minister in his message said 23rd March is an unforgettable day of our national history.
He said this day reminds us that with steely determination and unity under an honest leadership, the ostensibly unachievable targets can be easily achieved.
The Prime Minister said during the last three years the Army, security agencies and people have rendered sacrifices to make Pakistan a cradle of peace.
He said the government has maintained its focus on accelerating economic prosperity and progress.
