Pak, Romania relations given new dimensions: Ambassador Emilian

ISLAMABAD, MAR 15 (DNA) – Ambassador of Romania Emilian ION has said Pakistan Romania Friendship Association has contributed greatly towards the straitening of bilateral relations between the two countries.The ambassador made these remarks while attending a meeting of the Association held at his residence on Tuesday.The Ambassador further said ever since his coming to Pakistan, his aim has been to cement and further promote already friendly ties between Romania and Pakistan. He said, during past seven years he had taken a number of steps for promotion of bilateral relations.
The ambassador also highlighted the role of friendship associations and business council in cementing bilateral relations adding such platforms provide people with a chance to interact with one another very closely.
He said, relations between the two countries have been given new dimensions. High level business and parliamentary visits have indeed contributed towards promotion of these relations.
Ambassador Emilian further said cultural cooperation between the two countries has also been on the move. He particularly mentioned recent performance of Romanian singers in Pakistan adding such visits would hopefully continue.
He added, on business and economic front too both countries are in agreement to expand cooperation. “ Trade volume between the two countries may not be upto the mark right now but hopefully it will get a considerable boost in the coming days as momentum has already been set in this regard”.=DNA
