Pak-Iran border fencing to complete in 3 to 4 years: Senate body

ISLAMABAD, MAY 10 (DNA) – Frontier Constabulary Commandant Moazzam Jah Ansari on Friday informed the Senate Standing Committee on Interior that Iran was resisting fencing of the border.

Senate Standing Committee on Interior held its meeting in Islamabad with Senator Rehman Malik in chair.

During the meeting, the Frontier Constabulary Commandant informed the committee that the work on fencing the Pak-Iran border has commenced but Iran was resisting fencing of the border. He said that the security forces took action against the terrorists who were involved in the killing of 14 personnel in Ormara, Balochistan, adding that 15 miscreants had been killed.

Moazzam Jah Ansari went on to say that the work on Pak-Iran border fencing would be completed in three to four years, adding that forts would also be constructed along Pak-Afghan border.

He said that intelligence-based operations have been conducted during the last two weeks, adding that killing the terrorists entering from across the border is a biggest success, however, all 15 miscreants didn’t enter from Iran but local traitors facilitated them. = DNA
