OIC Special Envoy for Kashmir concludes visit to Pakistan
ISLAMABAD – Special envoy to Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) for Kashmir has completed his visit to Pakistan and AJK.
During the visit, Special Envoy Yousef M. Al Dobeay also called on Prime Minister Imran Khan, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Federal Minister for Kashmir affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur, Parliamentary Committee for Kashmir and Foreign Secretary.
The representatives of All Parties Hurriyat Conference apprised the delegation about the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistani leadership thanked the delegation for their support to the Kashmiris.
According to the Foreign Office spokesman, the special envoy was briefed on the serious human rights violations in Indian occupied Kashmir.
Aisha Farooqui said that Kashmiris are looking to the Muslim Ummah and the OIC to protect their rights. The delegation met with the President and Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir and also visited the Line of Control (LoC).
The Foreign Office further said that the Special Envoy was informed of the human and financial loss of citizens on the Line of Control (LoC).
According to the Foreign Office, the envoy said that the issue of Kashmir and Palestine was at the top of the OIC s agenda and it will play its part in the resolution of Kashmir issue.
