OGRA imposes fine on 37 petrol pumps
ISLAMABAD, JAN 24 (DNA) -On the directions of the Prime Minister of Pakistan with regard to Clean & Green Initiative OGRA inspected various petrol pumps throughout the country and some anomalies with regard to cleanliness were found.
In this regard, concerned Oil Marketing Companies (OMC’s) were fined for Rs.50,000/- per petrol pump . The following companies were fined:
Shell Pakistan Limited-7, Attock Petroleum Limited-2, Byco Petroleum Limited-3, Total Parco Pakistan Limited – 8, Pakistan State Oil-10, Askar Oil Services Private Limited-2, Hascol Petroleum Limited-2, PUMA Energy Limited-3.
As soon as the amount of penalty i.e. Rs.18,50,000/- is received from the 37 petrol pumps involved in the violations of the Authority’s directions, the said amount will accordingly be deposited in the federal treasury.=DNA
