NUML Signs MoU with Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) to Promote Volunteerism and Community Engagement
ISLAMABAD, APR 17 (DNA) : A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) and Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) Pakistan in a ceremony held at NUML. Director General NUML, Brigadier Shehzad Munir, and M. Saleem Mansoori Country director-HHRD
graced the occasion and formalized the partnership by signing the MoU.
During the ceremony, Saleem Mansoori shared an overview of HHRD’s global and national humanitarian initiatives, including its funding mechanisms, areas of operation, and focus on youth engagement. DG NUML lauded HHRD’s ongoing efforts and emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of volunteerism among university students.
The MoU outlines a framework for joint efforts in youth empowerment, community service, and skill development. Under the agreement, NUML will encourage student participation in volunteer programs, facilitate training sessions, and provide logistical support where feasible. In return, HHRD will offer both paid and unpaid internships, provide a supportive environment for student engagement, and assign impactful roles to volunteers focusing on underserved communities.
This collaboration reflects a shared vision to empower youth as responsible citizens and changemakers, working towards an inclusive and compassionate society.
