ISLAMABAD, APR 23 (DNA) – Nishtar Hockey Club has qualified for the final of the Inter club hockey tournament by defeating Margallah Hockey club by 4-1.

Nishtar hockey club outclassed Margalla hockey club in the first semi final of Inter Club Hockey Tournament played at Naseer Bundha Hockey Stadium on Monday.

The Nishtar club from the outset of the match played excellent hockey and scored two early goals, that put the opponents under huge pressure.

Noman, Usman, Hassan, from Nishtar club put up excellent show and did not allow the Margallah defence to stand on its feet.

Nishtar club has so far been unbeaten in the tournament. The final of the Inter Club is likely to be played on Thursday.

The 2nd semi final shall be played tomorrow between Islamabad Tigers hockey club and Faisal hockey club. This match is being re-played as it remained incomplete due to bad light.=DNA
