ISLAMABAD, MAY 25 (DNA) – Former interior minister and digruntled leader of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chaudhry Nisar on Friday declared Tassaduq Jillani as favourite candidate for the caretaker PM.
Talking to media in Islamabad on Friday, he said that there was no doubt that the matter would go to the Parliamentary Committee.
Nisar said that his view was being encouraged in Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) circles and 95% of the MNAs are like-minded.
He also announced to contest elections from four constituencies, two from the the National Assembly and two from the Provincial.
Responding to a question related to if he thinks Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will be the country’s next prime minister, he said that he don’t know and asked what do they think?
The former minister said that it is not necessary that the people joining PTI would win elections too because every party has its own electables.
The prime minister, an avid follower of cricket since her days at the Oxford University where she was introduced to her husband by the former Pakistan prime minister Benazir Bhutto, spoke to Sethi about the performance of the two teams and exchanged views on the current series that has drawn sold-out crowds.
She told the PCB chairman that the Pakistani team had played a good game and showed lots of promise. May said Lord’s was the home of cricket and spectators always loved watching the game there and observed that matches between Pakistan and England are interesting.
