Next budget to reflect govt efforts for inclusive economic growth: Miftah
ISLAMABAD, MAR 05 (DNA) – Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance, Miftah Ismail has directed that Budget related activities be given due priority and agreed timelines be fully adhered to.
He was chairing a meeting to review the activities related to preparation of budget for next fiscal year in Islamabad.
The Advisor said due importance will be accorded to proposals from all the stake holders, particularly business community and Chambers of Commerce and Industries.
He said the budget would reflect the government’s efforts for having inclusive economic growth, measures for expanding the tax-base and tax net.
Miftah Ismail said bold steps will also be taken for improvements in all sectors of the economy.
Additional Secretary budget gave the meeting a briefing on the budget preparations and shared timelines for various activities.
