Nawaz Sharif fighting for life: doctor
ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s personal physician, Doctor Adnan Malik, told the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday that he has been treating the PML-N supremo for past 20 years and his health is critical at the moment as he is fighting for his life.
“Nawaz Sharif is being given life-saving medicines. The medical board has also decided to hold his complete body scan to find out the sickness cause,” he told the court.
Meanwhile, Medical Superintendent of the Services Hospital Dr. Saleem Shahzad Cheema submitted Nawaz Sharif’s reports, stating that he is suffering from heart and kidney diseases.
The former premier’s health condition is still not stable due to fluctuation in his platelets count that must be above one lac to be considered as normal, the report revealed. Dr Saleem informed that the former PM had suffered a heart attack when injections and steroids were given to him to raise the count of platelets.
