Nawaz Sharif avoids to respond to PM Imran’s address
ISLAMABAD, (DNA) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif on Thursday has avoided to respond to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s address to nation.
Talking to media outside accountability court, Nawaz Sharif said that he cannot comment on the address as he has not watched it.
Meanwhile, the reporter asked him to say something about PM’s statement regarding not giving NRO to corrupt leaders but the ex-premier refused to answer.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan said those who are criticizing the current government are the ones who burdened the country’s economy with their ill economic planning and corruption.
He said those elements are trying to raise hue and cry as they are afraid of their accountability. Our govt is going after the money launderers behind this and there will be no NRO, he told.
Khan also took nation into confidence regarding measures adopted by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government to deal with ongoing economic crisis.
He said the country had limited resources as it was at the brink of becoming defaulter and the government had only two options; either go to International Monetary Fund (IMF) or seek help from friendly countries.
He mentioned that the government’s highest priority has been to protect the salaried class from economic pressures.
