Navy Chief salutes fellow soldier Zaman
RAWALPINDI, JUL 07 (DNA) – Pakistan Naval chief Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah paid tribute to fellow ex-serviceman Fakhar Zaman. Pakistan latest batting sensation, Zaman was an integral part of the Green Shirts that went on to win ICC Champions Trophy.
“Pakistan Navy is specially proud of ex PN serviceman Fakhar Zaman, who remained part of Pakistan Navy cricket team for seven years and has become symbol of Pakistan as well as of Pakistan Navy, for his impressive performance throughout the tournament,” said the Naval chief, during a reception held by Pakistan Navy in honour of Pakistan cricket team.
Zakaullah further applauded Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed “who played an instrumental role by uniting as well as leading entire team and playing as one unit thereby achieving this glorious feat.“
Chief of the Naval Staff also awarded medals to the members of the national team. The reception was attended by Minister for Inter-Provisional Coordination Riaz Pirzada, Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Shahryar Khan, PCB officials and other dignities.
