National day of Italy celebrated
ISLAMABAD, MAY 12 (DNA) – Ambassador of Italy Stefano Pontecorvo has said Italy and Pakistan enjoy excellent relations, which are growing with the each passing day.
He made these remarks while speaking on the occasion of national day of Italy. Federal Minister for Industries Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi was the chief guest. Former ISPR Lt Gen. Saleem Bajwa also attended the reception. A LARGE NUMBER of guests attended the Italian national day reception.
The ambassador further said prime minister of Italy and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif were expected to meet in China. He also hinted at more high level contacts in the coming days.
Talking about trade volume the ambassador said it had doubled and expected a further progress in this regard.
Meanwhile, the Italian musicians sung national anthems of both countries. They received huge applause from audience for singing the national anthem of Pakistan.
Besides, a dress show was also arranged on the sidelines of the event. Dresses prepared by Italian designer were put on display. The audience took keen interest in the dresses and appreciated work of the designer.
The guests were served with traditional Italian cuisines.=DNA
