ISLAMABAD, MAR 01 (DNA) – Pakistan Capoeira Academy with Micronox has announced to launch 1st National Capoeira Festival & Sports Gala 2016 on 30th April 2016.
Pakistan Capoeira Academy has decided to organize this event at Liaquat Gymnasium Hall at Sports Complex in Islamabad.High profile guests including cricket celebrities, martial arts personalities, famous sportsmen, Brazilian Masters, diplomats and foreign missions are invited. Capoeira is Brazilian traditional martial art that combines the elements of dance, music, acrobatics, fighting and self-defense.
Capoeira is very famous for fast and complex moves including a wide variety of kicks, spins, dodges, fast counter-attacks and highly mobile techniques.
In Pakistan, the history of Capoeira goes back in 2012. In 2015, Pakistan Capoeira Academy has become first official academy of Capoeira in Pakistan. For the promotion and development of Capoeira, Shayan Ali has also founded Pakistan Capoeira Federation and now Capoeira sport is practiced in all major cities of Pakistan.
National Capoeira Festival 2016 is the first event that is going to be hosted by Pakistan Capoeira Academy and organized by Micronox with the support of Brazilian embassy in Islamabad. The event includes not only Capoeira but also other famous martial arts such as Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Wushu Kung Fu.
The content of the event includes presentation regarding the history, culture and techniques of Capoeira by Shayan Ali and performance of Capoeira moves / techniques by Fawaz Mir and Shayan Ali.
Masters of Capoeira from Brazil will also demonstrate Capoeira with their team while Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Wushu Kung Fu fighting will also be the part of this event.
